Built on the shores of the renowned Loch Ness in Scotland, on the Aldourie Estate, the Boathouse was a great collaborative project for Carpenter Oak to work on and has fully met the ambitious brief set by the client.
A few years prior, we’d successfully worked on the green oak framed Home Farm barns at this Highland Estate with Ptolemy Dean Architects, engineers Narro Associates and specialist contractor Kishorn Heritage.
This time the client wanted this same team to deliver an exquisite yet functional structure, befitting the idyllic location on the banks of Loch Ness.
