One of Polzeath's favourite venues for locals and visitors for many years, The Oystercatcher is prominently situated, with panoramic view across the renowned surfing beach.

Owners, St Austell Brewery, enlisted Harrison Architects to design a comprehensive renovation of the existing building and extend over the car park to increase their indoor and outdoor bar and dining facilities.

The initial drawings were for a larger timber frame, which was scaled back due to time constraints working to a seven week turnaround.  The finished design added a steel frame that the Carpenter Oak frame would be incorporated into.
